Ministrica je danes v Spodnji Savinjski dolini pomagala hmeljarjem. Na hmeljarski kmetiji Zupanc v Dobriši vasi v Petrovčah si je ogledala tudi napeljevanje biorazgradljive vrvice v sklopu projekta LIFE BioTHOP. Vrvico se je tudi sama naučila fiksirati v tla. Seznanila se je s projektom BioTHOP, ki ga vodi IHPS. Delovno akcijo je organizirala Pivovarna Laško Union. Sodelovali so tudi številni sodelavci podjetja in športniki. On April 24 (2020) the Agriculture Minister Aleksandra Pivec assisted the hop growers in the Lower Savinja Valley as agriculture sector faces worker shortages due to COVID-19 also on hop fields. At hop grower Zupanc in Dobriša vas in Petrovče the installation of a biodegradable twine was demonstrated as part of the LIFE BioTHOP project. The hop growers thaught her to to fix the twine to the ground. She was introduced with the BioTHOP project led by IHPS. The engagement of helping the hop growers came from Pivovarna Laško Union that sent their sportsmen to help with the twine. Many company associates and athletes also participated. Withing a few days, over 560 people from different parts of Slovenia applied to help the slovenian hop growers.
